Denomination: Protestant → Quakers → Friends United Meeting (FUM)Shepherdstown Friends are pleased to welcome you to our meeting for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM in the Student Center at Shepherd University.
We welcome all, regardless of religious affiliation or background, whether Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, or no religious belief at all. A sincere desire — or simply a respectful curiosity — to join us in an unprogrammed meeting, based on prayerful meditation after the manner of Friends, is reason enough to attend. We welcome children to attend our First Day School at the same time and place.
We come together and wait in silence for spiritual guidance and inspiration. During the hour of worship one or more attenders may be moved to share a message. At other times the hour passes in silent, communal meditation and worship.
