Holy Resurrection Romanian Orthodox Church

Description

From the founding of the parish until now, alongside religious services, numerous fundraising activities have taken place, such as picnics and preparing traditional Romanian dishes at various festivals organized by the church or the Romanian Community Center of Sacramento. Additionally, religious-educational activities have been carried out, for example: history lessons, Sunday school, children's participation in the Religion Olympiad, summer camp at the Holy Cross Monastery in Castro Valley, pilgrimages, and catechesis evenings. Youth aged 16 and over have participated in ROYA camps—camps dedicated to youth from Romanian parishes across the United States—where they had the opportunity to meet other Romanian youth, to deepen their understanding of the teachings and beauty of the Orthodox faith, and enjoy Christian fellowship. All these activities have contributed to strengthening faith, consolidating the bonds among community members, and passing on Christian values to future generations.
