LGBTQ Affirming Churches in California

Looking for an LGBTQ-affirming church in California? LGBTQ-affirming churches intentionally welcome and include lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people in the life of the church. Many affirming congregations support full participation in worship, membership, leadership, ministry, and other areas of church life. We are adding new churches daily, so check back regularly!

Policies and practices regarding LGBTQ inclusion, same-sex marriage, clergy, leadership, and other areas of church life vary by congregation and denomination. We recommend reviewing the church’s website or contacting the church directly for the most current information.

Is your California church also LGBTQ affirming? Search for your church to see if it is listed, and if it is, click the"Edit This Church" link on its page to update the Care & Support where you'll find the "LGBTQ Affirming" box to tick. Your church will then appear in this list! If it isn't listed, Add Your Church! It's free!
